Intellectual property has value. In acknowledging such value, intellectual property is protected by law. Such protection covers works of literature, the arts and science, creations of artists, technical inventions, industrial design, registered trademarks for goods or services, trade names and/or company names, company logos, as well as intellectual activities in the fields of manufacturing, science, literature or the arts.
